| Russia was never going to invade Ukraine it never even came close. It was a ploy which the west fell for and Putin got his message to them that he doesnt want a nato country on his boarder and now he probably succeeded with that. |

| Britain could never act alone, ever. Some may point to the Falklands but Argentina's armed forces then were very poor and very underequipped. But the UK is more insignificant and irrelevant than ever now. No more interfering in other countries problems that have absolutely nothing to do with us like Bozo thinks we can even though successive useless tory governments have made so many cuts to the UKs armed forces that there's hardly anything left now. Only time the UK should act now is if a NATO country is invaded and all NATO countries armed forces are mobilised. Even then we'd be useless. |

I broadly agree with all you say although I'd love to see you slag off our armed forces to any marines let alone special forces, still some of the best in the world. |

| Ukrainian refugees will flood to the west if and when Mr Putin orders his forces into Ukraine. That will add extra pressure to proceedings. |

| So now Boris is pleading for 'an overwhelming display of western solidarity'.
He doesn't do irony then.
It is embarrassing for us as a country to have a PM who is regarded as a clown on the world stage. If anyone is going to do or say the wrong thing that could tip Europe into war, it's him. '

' there is a president worse than him doing a good job of making himself look a complete idiot on the world stage too hence why Putin is playing with them both and nato is shit without those two being strong. |

Luckily the rest of the world do not view Brexit like a few on here do, you will only see the laughing stock comments on social media as far as I can see the rest of the world is literally dying to live here. Literally. |

Once old Vlad gives the nod to Donetsk and Lugansk, It gives Russia a reason to go help the rebels (replace 'rebels' with Russian soldiers') in those breakaway regions, just like they did years ago in Crimea. The ‘poor rebels’ are being shelled by ‘Ukrainian forces’ as we speak according to Russian Media - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's the excuse old Vlad needs to go wading in. I am an undercover Ukrainian separatist rebel, and I claim my 25 roubles. |

Old Vlad has copied the west as in he isn't invading he has installed a "peace keeping force", bless him, we had him wrong all the time. I bet if you looked back to 2014 you would hear all the same old rhetoric and all the same posturing and talk of terrible sanctions that you heard when he took the Crimea. I'm guessing we won't stop using their gas and the gas makes us more reliant on them than they are on us, what a fooking mess. |
