Didn't know he played for us.

Certainly did. He was in the team which got a famous win at Millwall and started a riot afterwards-i was there at the age of 7 and haven't bricked it so much since. TBH he was a bit over the hill and looked overweight from what i remember of him and he didn't stay more than a season or two but he had been a good first division player at Chelsea, maybe a bit overshadowed by his brother Peter. Went on to be a successful manager at Hereford [got them into the second division for the only time in their history] and Coventry where he won the FA cup. Last time i saw him was when Argyle were playing Coventry in the championship and he was the half time guest.

RIP John

I did and remember that famous win at Millwall, I think Millwall had been unbeaten at home for about 13 months
