Green Taverners applied to be able to host weddings services.

The plans for Home Park, the home of Plymouth Argyle, would see the Green Taverners Supporters bar, used for events and hospitality, be able to host weddings.

While it currently hosts wedding breakfasts and receptions, following a meeting with Plymouth Registry Office, they would like to obtain a ceremony licence to be able to host civil ceremonies, a statement with the application says.

We are planning to licence both floors of our venue, plus the external balcony areas as recommended by the licensing department,” it added.

Plymouth City Council will determine the fate of the applications at a later date.
