Although we gained exodus from the EU in 2016 we had to wait three years until 2019 before it was implemented. Being rude, vindictive and unhelpful was their order of the day while ably assisted by certain TV and newspapers. It's no wonder talks have been so acrimonious.

Those troublesome points may have slipped past him or was simply ignored (temporarily) to get the Northern Ireland deal signed off. As for further negotiations: I think he's been forewarned to be on his guard regarding attempts to induce the UK sign up to any Brussels Laws regarding food regulations as this will almost certainly lead to attempts to ban the UK from making deals worldwide. The thought of such trade deals scares the merde out've the sphincters.
