2021/ 22 Squad what do we need over the summer

What we need to bring in imo.

A goalkeeper, 3 good central defenders, 1 wing back (right), 2 central midfielders one of which a defensive ball winner, 1 striker a target man and A utility player who could cover midfield right wingback and upfront preferably.

IMO Edwards and G Cooper should be playing in midfield.

Cooper is a creative player who's wasted (and not very effective defensively) at WB
Edwards is a solid defensive midfielder (very much needed if Lowe insists we play out from the back) and can grab a goal or two.

Edwards certainly im sure he will be used there at times and defence too his ability to play a number of postitions make him a valuable member of the squad. G. Cooper i dont see him playing in the middle not unless he is being re trained to play there as a lasting result of his knee injury harming his pace from the wing.

What we need is Edwards getting forward and grabbing goals whilst not being worried that he's being covered by the worst defenders in Argyles history. Somebody mentioned Eliot Ward as one of the best loans ever, what we could do with a commanding balls to the wall defender with bags of talent like that. I'd love to lose Cooper to Man City and get a commanding Goalkeeper in as well whilst I'm at it.

I've noticed just how many of the current squad is out of contract in 2023 almost all off them :O Not to mention the new guys coming in who no doubt will be on 1,2 year contracts.

is this a cause for concern i wonder?

The 24-year-old is continuing his rehabilitation by running on an anti-gravity treadmill

George Cooper has started running again, 175 days after he last did so, following a knee operation in January.

The Plymouth Argyle midfielder or wing-back has taken to an anti-gravity treadmill for the first time to aid his recovery from the surgery.

It comes with the start of pre-season training for the Pilgrims' squad less than two weeks away, with the players reporting for duty on June 23.
