Now the rogue is up at 5pm for a Downing St briefing. Beth Rigby broke the story on Sky and I wonder if she is (or was lol) to be one of the nominated political questions.

If you mean Alistair Campbell who along with Jonathan Powell, advised The Right Reverend Tony Blair at a cost to the taxpayer of £125,000 per person - £7000 each more than a cabinet minister was pocketing, then the answer is never, even though it cost the lives of 179 British soldiers.

It's £15k not £16 but again it's about whether it was declared "properly" or not. Once again we will see no better outcome than aJohnson apology and I doubt well even get that. There seems to be a big misunderstanding. Amoung many across the country who think that MP's and Prime Ministers cannot get perks like holidays and flat renovations in return for political "favours" they always have and always will do. Obviously there shouldn't be any sort of murky favours done but this is Blighty and sadly no one gives a flying feck about it. It's the system that needs changing but it never will whilst you and yours aim at the wrong targets. One day you will get your wish and Johnson will get replaced by Gove, Hunt or Reese Mogg and they will be the ones receiving the favours.

On Monday, Ms Stone confirmed that the prime minister was among nine MPs currently being investigated for potential breaches of the MPs' code of conduct.
She is examining whether Mr Johnson followed Commons rules on declaring financial interests relating to trips outside the UK.
These state that MPs have to register visits costing more than £300, where these have not been wholly covered by MPs themselves or the taxpayer.
Ms Stone will report her findings to the Commons Standards Committee, which can order MPs to apologise or pay back money if they are found in breach of the code.
In extreme cases it can recommend MPs are suspended, although this requires approval from the whole Commons and has only happened a handful of times.

Look on the bright side m'lord as there's even less chance of you blundering into the little termite while taking your seat in the upper house. Should Labour ever get into power again he'd be seen as an utterly biased embarrassment and best ignored.

As for that new by election did that ex sainsbury advert star basically used the murdered mp who held that seat as an emotional tactic to win and keep that seat and done nothing since. Now she is a mayor!!! truly this party loyalty needs to end if there is no justification for it and finally we are seeing the end of that with the north waking up to labour and its incompetency when in charge.

If anyone is dumb it’s labour. They not only put a rabid remainer in the fight for Hartlepool but also the sitting MP in the election of the local Mayor who has to resign her seat forcing the by election. If they lose this seat then sir smarmy will get a lot of grief from the corbyn scum.
