The first rule of politics is to be able to count, he hasn’t got the DUP, He should have the ERG barring the complete loons Peter Bone says he’ll vote for it. Haven’t seen what Sir Bill Cash thinks and I think he should have the Tory rebels.

Johnson needs to pick off enough Labour Leave With A Deal mps and I don’t think they’ll play ball. If they vote for this their careers are over In Labour, the trouble with the deal is that equivalence on workers right, environmental standards etc have been tossed into the political declaration which is a set warm words regarding a post Brexit settlement that will probably get junked in no time.

But it’s better than no deal.

Philip Hammond says he won’t vote for it. Concerned we’ll crash out at the end of transition.

If he’s not going to vote For it I reckon that’s Soubry, Greive and Gauke out as well and at least half a dozen  more. They’ve got nothing to gain from helping Johnson.

The DUP situation is interesting, these people treat being British as God like calling. I was watching the history of the troubles that’s being shown ATM ON BBC1, I’m up to the part where the Anglo Irish agreement is signed and they go mental, effigies of Thatcher being burnt, the lot.

PM Boris speaking with authority in the House this morning....the whiners and remoaners just can't bare it....hopefully enough fence sitters will be persuaded to vote for this deal....and then we need an election to get rid of so many remain MP's whose constituents voted to leave the EU three years ago and are now demanding action.

Father of the House, Ken Clarke, is going to vote for it.

DUP were having a right old dig, as were The SNP.

Word doing the rounds on the radio last night was that it will be a close one but, Boris will just about scrape through ? .

People's Vote are out in force in London.

Anyone see Dominic Grieve on Sky last night the former attorney general ??
Dont normally like the fella but christ didnt he speak sense. Made the point that contrary to popular opinion MPs across the house are not stupid and are well aware of the absurd damage a deal (any deal) will do to this country let alone no deal compared to what we currently have and as such expect the impasse to continue indefinately

This needs (as he suggested) to get Johnsons deal to the vote and if it succeeds a confirmatory vote from the public on the ballot paper once we have grasped all the pros and cons saying accept Johnsons deal or remain.

Total agreement from me

It's easy to see why you are so misguided when you seize on any opinion piece that suits your agenda and present it as fact.

Red Card  to The DUP

Thumbnsdown to those others in Parliament who backed the amendment to delay yet again.

Keep delaying and they will bring about a no deal by default, it is beyond a farce now. Will we see a no confidence vote from The SNP thrown in next week ?

There is no guarantee that the EU will grant an extension, citing the usual three themes 1) get the deal passed 2) another referendum put in place and 3) hold a general election.

Macron has already sounded out that an extension is in nobody's interest and it will only take one of the 27 to veto the request and no deal becomes the reality.

And there are now voters - on call-in radio debates - saying that they should now call it a day and revoke, say how sorry we are and carrying on as if nothing has happened.

lol! Are you an MP in disguise Harve? I would have thought that anybody who wanted to leave with a deal would champion the deal being offered not throw ludicrous stories about Bojo being jailed into the mix. When is the Queen going to sack him btw?

I wonder why Bercrow would do that? I mean it's all the good old MPs saving us from no deal by preventing a vote on a deal? It's almost as though they have a different agenda.

Just heard a reporter on the tv say that if (when) Parliament throws in amendments during the withdrawal bill scenario, the EU will view that as reopening the negotiations and could make amendments themselves to further complicate matters.

That little cnut Bercrow should be flogged. He was obviously worried that Johnsons deal would get approval, everybody I know has had enough of this never ending saga now.

Sadly, he is allowed to do what he did and there is nothing MPs or we can do about it.

And he won't bat an eyelid whilst allowing Remainer MPs countless amendments to the bill he won't allow a vote on.

The funny things about Bercow is that nobody threw a tantrum when he was allowing Eurosceptics urgent questions or additional time to debate the referendum bill. He's always given due respect to the House and its hardly his fault that Johnson doesn't have a majority.

Furthermore he is allowing a vote, Rolling Eyes . The second reading of the WAB will take place today. What he didn't allow was a a rerun of the meaningful vote that was pulled on Saturday because that is against Parliamentary convention. It was pulled because Oliver Letwin , doesn't trust the Government to act in good faith and demanded the legislation be debated before agreeing it. They've been granted 3 days, to put that into context the Treaty of Lisbon was granted 11 days, the Maastrict treaty 23 days.

Amendments will be added and voted on, which is how democracy works in the country, the country is not run by "The Will Of The People" or even the 37% that voted for this shitshow. The likelyhood is the bill will pass its 2nd reading possibly with a customs union, even less possibly with a 2nd referendum who knows.

If it does, anyone thinking that's it over done with is guilty of the most incredible naivety. That's just the withdrawal act, we then have 2 years of excruciatingly detailed negotiation on the future relationship. Not to mention all the other trade agreements we have as members of the customs union. We've got feckin years of this bullshit, you won get over it.

Lmfao Hugh. If you can't see the bias in the house and the sheer will of not implementing Brexit I don't know what to say. This little sub heading in the news says it all really, "MPs demand more time to debate Brexit bill after 500hrs of debate".
