Sitting here in my armchair having a cup of tea and a fag wearing my Beat T shirt and just read that Ranking Roger has just passed away aged 56. Had a stroke last year and then brain tumours what a bastard. One of the coolest guys in all of Christendom very approachable and a truly great vocalist who along with all the other Rude boys stuck two fingers up at the racists and brought everybody together under one great foot stomping umbrella. Seen them play many times and had the pleasure of having a coffee with him when he played Tavistock.
RIP Rude Boy.
