Progressive rock giants YES, today announced the very sad passing of co-founder Chris Squire. For the entirety of YES' existence Chris was the bands linchpin. As well as arguably one of the worlds greatest bass guitarists, he co wrote much of YES' music. The unmistakable harmonies between Chris and Jon Anderson were a YES trade mark.

An icon of British progressive rock since the late sixties has been lost but his music will live on.

RIP Chris Squire.
