Tonight's other games:

Southend v Newport
Wycombe v Exeter
Bury v Shrewsbury
D&R v Luton
Stevenage v Pompey

Not quite the same level of "6 pointedness" as Saturday but pretty significant nonetheless.

A win for us and defeats for Newport and Luton and it is just about done - it'll all be about who we play in the play-offs then!

Not that that sequence of results is very likely: William Hill has it at 9.69/1 as an accumulator.

But never mind the rest it is really all about us now. It is all about the "W". Nothing else matters.

It would be nice if all goes the way of Argyle tonight, we are due some good luck right about now.

The team know what they have got to do, i also expect them to be nervous when they get out on to the pitch. I am still going for a nervy 2-0 win to the greens. I am looking forward to going to the game later.

Just flicked around the farm. Jeeeeeeezus H ... there are some miserable bar stewards wading in the swill. ''Argyle don't deserve to go up'' one piglet said. WTF? If you finish 1st/2nd/3rd or win playoffs then you do deserve to go up - don't you?

Luton are at home to Hartlepool on Saturday, while Newport are at home to D & R, Argyle winning at Carlisle is a must do.

Don't forget we've got quite a good GD in comparison to Newport and Luton, so we need 2 wins ideally from last 3 to be sure.

We should beat Tranmere at home, probably get nothing at Shrewsbury so a win at Carlisle could be crucial. Which on form we should just about manage

Newport have Dag & Red H, York A and Oxford H. Dag and Red they should win, York will be tough and Oxford could go either way. Newport have lost 3 on the spin but all to top 10 sides.

Luton have been on a dreadful run their only win has been against bottom of the league Tranmere. They have Hartlepool at home, which they should win. Southend away which would be hard and Stevenage at home which will be hard.

Nah, a draw will be fine as long as we beat the Trannies at home.

All of these could still go up!

Obviously Wimbledon, Morecambe and Northampton need a miracle. Exeter need to win their last 3 and then pray.

Newport need us to lose twice, probably 3 times, and remain unbeaten winning at least once to overtake us while Luton do diddly. Luton need us to lose one which they win and then do better than us in the other two games.

If we get 0 points then Luton and Newport need 4 points and Exeter 5 to overtake us.

If we get 1 point then Luton and Newport go above us with 5 points and Exeter need 3 wins.

If we get 2 points Exeter need 3 wins and both Luton and Newport need 2 wins to overtake us.

If we get 3 points our GD means Luton need 7 points from their last 3 and both Exeter and Newport will need 3 wins.

If we get 4 points from the remaining 3 games Luton, Exeter and Newport could all over take us with 3 wins.

If we get 5 points and Newport and Luton need 3 wins.

If we get 6 points then we're there.

I'll be rash and say 3 more points will probably do it.

Luton and Newport have got easy-ish games on Saturday.

Argyle really need to beat Carlisle tbh.

Yeah, you are correct with Argyle needing two wins. That would give them 71 points, the same amount Luton and Newport can get. Newport have the easier run in though.

I'd rather Argyle won on Saturday and then go on to beat Tranmere. I do not believe that a draw and a win [four points] is enough.

Two games and six points is what Argyle need to aim for now.

Argyle can balls it up for themselves should they falter at this final stage.
