I have looked online, was it an easy set up?

Through your phone?

What set-up costs are involved, MVL? is it subscription based? Any 4k material to view? Hang on, why don't I just Google it, FFS. Laughing

Just a one off product payment. Very easy to install (just download the app to PC or phone and follow the instructions).

I have it on my PC and phone.

All it does is give you the ability to display the internet on your TV. It gives a direct connection from your router the Chrome Cast on the TV.

Your TV must have an HDMI port (and preferably a USB port to power it - there is a power lead supplied so that you can plug it into a normal socket).

You should also check that your router is compliant. I had to wait for a Chrome Cast update (automatically updated when I first connected) before mine worked.

Sounds good, I am looking to use one with my phone as the router/ internet source when I am drifting round and about.

Not sure how that would work.

Cheer, MVL.

I don't think I need it if it only streams your internet to the tv. I have recently purchased a new TV with web browsing, PC mirroring, bluetooth keyboard etc.

Lots of people do it in vans, they have a laptop with a phone on a USB cable and use the 3G on the phone with the phone acting as router, works well.
