Ha ha ! Just been told about this by one of my sons who lives and works here. I cruelly indoctrinated them all into Argyle from a young age. They were all with me at Wembley in 96 and at various other games until my loyalty and affection for the club, was pushed beyond breaking point several years ago. This son's 'serious' club happens to be Spurs and we will be there. I'm only going for the beer.

They all have a soft spot for the Argiggle but never having lived in or near Plymouth the addiction isn't terminal.

BTW Damon, when my boy became a Junior Spurs member, there was a limerick competition for a day at the training ground with El Tel, Teddy Sheringham , Steve Perryman and the boys.
I cheated and wrote it for him  .............. it won though and he and my wife had a great day......... I was working !!!!

Only been to White Hart Lane three times ever. First was with a mate from Derby in the days of Clough/ Kevin Hector etc.......Derby won 5 - 3.

Second was on a boxing Day in the early 90's when a late Stuart Pearce free kick won it 2 -1 for Clough's Forest.

And finally, when Glen [them fings we done good] Hoddle's Spurs were coasting 3 - 0 at half time against Man Utd and United won 5 - 3.

All very enjoyable matches.

Only been there once when i was working in the Londonish area.League cup tie against Birmingham,Spurs went 3-0 down and the natives were not best pleased.George Graham was manager and needed a police escort at half time and full time,the crowd were chanting for his blood throughout the match.They sure don't like them Gooners at WHL!

It's being played at the Anorthosis ground in Larnaca, about 3 miles from me because the Limassol ground doesn't pass European safety standards. Doubt I'll get a ticket. It only holds about 10k and the Limassol mob will be up for it, unlike last time when Spurs were already 6 - 1 up from the first leg.
Guess I'll watch it in the pub like most Cypriots and spend my ticket money on beer and pig on a stick !

Frikkin'ell Iggy ! But you are correct of course. The 'ever so loyal' janner yeomanry have wormed their way into the fabric of the club , in return for protecting the reluctant one and his non investing tenure.

This could be the way of things for years to come. Depressingly predictable and totally village.

It's embarrassing and these days I have to keep a low profile with friends who support the likes of Luton and Wycombe.

Tring, I'm about 250 miles west of you in Lindos at the minute. Nearly 10pm and 29 degrees.    

Sat outside in a lovely restaurant with a cold Amstel and lovely Beef Stifado. Just a shame I'm sweating like a peado in a playground.
