There's more than that.    We are having a discussion about it at the moment, rest assured if anybody has signed up just to troll we will just ban them, life's to short to feck around with policing score settling.

Well if Punch is back (and it's up to him to out himself if he wants to) then I for one will be pleased. Despite the rather selective memories being posted about what happened in March, I've always maintained that he was doing what he felt was right and that he then had to deal with unnecessary provocation.

My feeling About Punch has always been that I liked him. This isn't about that. We were going to have a vote on what Punch did but he flipped before there were enough mods to have the vote. Maybe if he served a three month suspension then he could come back, could we say that he has served his time in remand? It would be interesting to hear what other members think?
As for the provocation as you would know it can and does get to you.

No answer then Peggy.....it's a ridiculous statement that make a farce of reality.....punchdrunk was always a wild maverick....abusing those who held any different view to himself and being quite offensive and unpleasant with no feelings towards his victims at all.

Selective memory comes to mind regarding him and some others who seem not to see any point of view other than their own.....does that sound familiar.

Provocation....yes that does happen on here....but a balanced view of things is not possible...because everything to do with PAFC is wrong....is that a balanced opinion of what is happening.....I don't think so.

Not that it's any of your business, Zyph, but I do have a lot of other things to do. Jumping when you give an order is very low on my list of priorities.

I repeat what I said at the time (and it's all still on here): Punchdrunk did what he felt was the right thing. It only kicked off later, when somebody else intervened, unwisely and inappropriately in my opinion. My point about selective memory relates to the speed with which a lot of people seem to have forgotten the second bit.

And none of it had anything to do with opinions about what's been going on at the club. It was purely to do with the posting of some extremely offensive pornographic references.

Peggy.....I wouldn't be as bold has to expect any women to jump for me......I am not used to giving orders.....having nearly been married for 50yrs I know my place in the pecking order of life.

Even so I stand by my opinion that I stated in my last post.........sorry to break into your busy life....just that I thought your comment needed clarifying.

Yes I do and you aren't the only one to be concerned but you have to appreciate the state of the mod room at the time. Most of us were inexperienced, nothing had happened like that before and we were basically fire fighting and losing. We were distracted by everybody taking sides, slinging shit and we were caught in the middle again. With hindsight we would have dealt with things earlier and we would have been firmer. I think the mods (in my time only) have been too worried about who they upset instead of dishing out the sanctions that a lot of people had been asking for. I am quite able to take criticism I know that I'm far from perfect mod material but the members of this forum also have to share the blame, we as mods have quite often dithered because we have tried to keep EVERBODY happy, this is impossible, I may sanction someone and it will make your day but then four other members that I like may well delete their accounts, I would be the one that took the blame for that not the person that committed the offence. Does that make sense to you? I think in the future you will see the rules tightened as a result of events this week, it will upset a few and I can guarantee that not everybody will be happy, (I could name the feckers now if you like   ) as for Punch he has gone, as for ATD I think that it needs to learn how and when to draw a line and move on because at the moment it is impossible to mod this site on a day to day basis with all the historical arguments getting in the way. Also some People need to develop some thicker skins.

Iggy's talking about the porn references barely being punished. The person who posted them was suspended for 24 hours, so has never had to rejoin.

So one fundamental rule ...which I said at the time when this election was first called was.....only 50% of mods at anyone time to be elected.....otherwise the Keyholders would be thrown in the deep end and it would be more like firefighting for awhile.

Peggy is correct about the porn I didn't make that clear. As for the fifty percent mod rule that has been discussed at length and is why we are having this election now. There was talk of letting the election ride until the next one but then it was pointed out that we would or could end up with wholesale changes in the mod room which isn't good.
