Just Back...

from the FA Vase Final at Wembley. Sat with 11,000 Tunbridge Wells, average attendence 180, who had all paid their own way to get there by plane train and automobile (ok maybe not plane it's only 50 miles or so from deepest Kent to the (not) Twin Towers). Apart from being disgusted (do you see what I did there) with the result, Wells (total amateurs not paid a penny to play from the Kent Premier League) lost 2-1 to the mighty Spennymoor Town from the Northern League.

Best fun I've had watching football for a while. Was a one man Forza Rouge. Stupid prices in the food and drink outlets and the FA should be ashamed at fans being ripped off in such a way. Anyway the sun was shining and the atmosphere nice.

I'd organise a poll but I wouldn't have a clue who any of the players were. I doubt that get recognised in Tunbridge Wells. Having said that it was obvious that Spennymoor had players with football league experience. Strangely the standard wasn't much different to most of the Argyle games I've seen this year.
