When's Berry's contract up? Far too injury prone. Get rid.

JOHN SHERIDAN has ruled out the chances of signing a new striker before Plymouth Argyle’s game against Cheltenham Town at Home Park on Saturday.

However, the Pilgrims’ boss has revealed he is in advanced talks about a potential new recruit.

Sheridan would not reveal either the club he was talking to, or the player he wanted to sign, but confirmed it would be on a loan deal until the end of the season.

He has already taken Jason Banton and Matt Parsons on permanent transfers from Crystal Palace this month.

Yawn.

The guy who posted as tcm was on one of the matchday GreensOnScreen photo sessions earlier last year some time. He is an Argyle regular who I'm on a 'nodding' level with, and who I see quite often at games.

If that wasn't him, and his photo was being used to falsely claim it was him, I don't think he'd be too happy.

THE REFEREE for Saturday game is LEE COLLINS (Surrey)

HAS SHOWN 35 yellow cards and sent-off two players in 17 games this season.

His last match was Stevenage’s 2-0 home win against Swindon Town in League One on January 14.

Collins was the referee who sent-off Argyle captain Conor Hourihane in only the ninth minute of the FA Cup first round tie at Dorchester Town in November 2012.

Hourihane received a red card for a second bookable offence, after taking a free-kick too soon. The Pilgrims were beaten 1-0.

I will have you doubting feckers know that Mutant Abbot is the centre of the (drinking) universe :
*probably best beer fest in the country at the Maltings plus amazing beer shop.
* Cider Bar - voted best cider house in the country - always entertaining on a Saturday night when the rugby boys are in, some of their drinking games are positively psychopathic.
*Teign Cellars pub a few doors away is a cult place if u want to drink, smoked beer, salty beer or the worlds strongest it's all there, great food too have met several Plymothians on a day trip there.
*Racecourse.
* Lemonfest music festival.
*excellent coarse fishing.
*Jolly Farmer - one of the best music/comedy venues south of Bristol.
*still has an independent record shop.
Anyway it's an ok place speaking as an exiled Janner having been here for the past 20yrs.

Bit of a weird article on the official site telling all and sundry that Banton will get up to speed sometime soon. Are they really responding to criticism on the clubs official message board? Strange.

I notice that there is excitement over on the farm about the possible return of Paul Connolly.
Someone wrote that should we really be getting that excited over someone who is currently playing for Millwall Reserves and may not be the same player as the one that left us.
Mannamead Green replies and his first word is "Nah".
Don't you just fecking hate that when somebody dismisses someone elses opinion as worthless and starts with "Nah" (Well I do).
MG goes on to say that Connolly will be better than we have and all will be good. I know he's only played 2 or 3 games but we almost have the same scenario because didn't everybody say how great it was Banton was back but already knives are being sharpened because he is not played well so I think the OP had a point. I would love the old Paul Connolly back but apart from Tommy Tynan not too many returnees over the years have exactly covered themselves in glory.
