Are we too dependant on it?

The reason I ask is that I went to top-up my Tamar bridge tag yesterday and it's still down with IT issues. I think I have enough credit on my tag for one more crossing. The hours I work dictate that I can't get to the bridge offices in opening hours to top it up there. That means when I cross back over tomorrow morning, I have to pay £1.50. Convenient, uh?

That is all. Off to do my night shift now, well, soon.  

I caught a bus today for the first time in ages. The ticket machine had broken down so, in spite of the fact that it apparently linked back to HQ, we were all given free travel. That's the kind of break-down dependancy I like.

Jammy sod. I wonder if the bridge fell down I would still have to pay?   

The moment we picked up a branch and used it as a club we became "dependent" on technology.

Ugg 1: "Ugg 1 walk across grasslands today. Saw antelope."

Ugg 2: "Antelope for dinner then?"

Ugg 1: "No. Ugg 1 could not find branch".

Also, whilst thinking about technology 'fail'. My brother-in-law and his wife were in London a few weeks back when the latest debit card fiasco hit. I can't remember who it was now? anyway, he went to pay for dinner at a restaurant and couldn't pay - his card was declined. How fecking embarrassing must that be?
