Grandstand Update

Construction Industry has been told "works are due to commence on site by Early November". It sounds like it won't be happening too soon....

That will be a bloke in high viz, turning up with a tape measure, rubbing his chin and shaking his head.

Good time to start a major development. If we have either a cold winter or a wet winter there'll be an awful lot of delays.

Perhaps we are going to shore up our budget with fines to the builders for delays lol

I think this clusterfuck is designed not to be built. You watch as jimmy doesn't provide the grandstand yet again threatens to throw his toys out the pram and still gets millbay

The money spent on paint and contractors could have been better spent on couple of hundred bricks. At least that would of kick started the very early beginnings of the new grandstand. The bucket rattlers could raise the money for the taps and shit-house signage.

yes it is, but the key part is it can be added to easily, i may be wrong but your ministand cant, also ours will be built i genuinely cant see yours ever happening...........

not by much though there isnt alot of room around that built up area the stadium is in.

The clue is, it's not our main stand The Flybe is.

People who patronise should normally do so from a position of strength. Our cousins up the A38 should only be patted on the head with a "nice try" if we were sat in our gleaming new 22k+ capacity stadium.

Full credit to them, they have a business plan to complete the project which is more than we can say.

I know they obviously have less restrictions than we do, but there are no fantasy plans of underground car parks, or building more retail units currently occupied in their city centre like we "tried"!

But this is our depressing "derby" so we all have to ramp up the "banter" over it, sad days.

I hope Exeter's new grandstand is green like the current one. It does show due deference from the Greasies their big brothers.

Trust owned club getting a stand built.

Millionaire owned club not getting stand built.

How, exactly, is James Brent's ownership beneficial to the club at all?

"He saved us from liquidation" I hear the response. Except he didn't because the old PAFC was wound-up.

"We'd've gone out of the league but for him." Maybe. So what? Is what we have had to endure since he took over any great improvement on the probable rise back up through the leagues which might have happened?

The time has come for Brent to either piss or get off the pot because he is bringing absolutely nothing worth having to the table anymore.

Brent and his supporters are like the Tory party, "look what we inherited". Yes but that was 5 years ago, the time has come to move things on now.
