Do people reading about Newell really believe he has any sway over Brent ?
Brenty will red card the guy the day the planning approval is granted. Surely the geezer Newell must be aware of this ?? Brent as a multi millionaire does not mix in normal society with fat guys who supposedly flog dodgy shirts to anyone who will buy them.

People generally are stupid when it comes to receiving flattery. We all love to be told how wonderful we are and most are quite willing to believe the hype. That's why people get shafted. It happens not just in cases like this but in loads of things in life. What people don't do is learn from any of it and are as guilible the next time some smooth talker pops up.

It wouldn't surprise me if Brent was intending to hand over the reins to Mr Nik and co once the development has taken place and he has made out of it what he wants. After all he is not interested in the football club, he was just after the car park and millbay for development purposes. Why else would a businessman plough as much (supposedly) money as he as without getting something significant out of it. And why else would Webb and Newell be clutching to him like a clingon without certain promises being made

It's the latest buzz phrase amongst Newell, Webb and Postey because they're all clutching at straws now. That Twatter statistic from Webb is hilarious because anyone can get a subject trending on Twatter.

I would say that the silent majority all think those three are complete cnuts and the majority of the minority also feel the same.

That possibility has been suggested as a likely scenario, ever since Nool pronounced there would be no walleted directors and Where's Webby announced the club would be ours[meaning theirs] to build.
The arrival of Nikkk, would seem to make it even more likely.

I like the way Webb is trying to say that anyone on a forum objecting to the plans aren't representative of REAL people, but anyone for the plans on twatter are representative

I'm fine Rickler. That story about webbys dad lying about where he was going when he left the family behind and went to watch football, came from Webb himself. He wasn't shy in using his son or father when it suited him.

I don't see how the fact that his father has died comes into it really. My father died years ago but I don't see what that has to do with the price of bacon.

It doesn't do you any favours Jock. You can think that but you're simply playing into the hands of people who accuse ATD of harbouring keyboard warriors. I utterly hate that phrase. What are we supposed to do if we want to express a view? Are we supposed to call a meeting and invite people every time we decide we have an opinion on something? It's very stupid to raise Twitter as a cause for good and then, in the next breath, bemoan those 'forums' and 'keyboard warriors'.

Without keyboard warriors, Webb wouldn't be at the bosom of Brent and co.

I once defended Webby as he semed a decent chap who had this thrust upon him but over the months, he's become a celebrity fan, a spokesman for Brent (rather than us) and he's let himself down. If he had a backbone, he'd have resigned once the unambitious plans were revealed.

Over the past year or so, the vast majority of thinking and articulate Argyle fans have clearly become increasingly aware of what is really going down at Home Park.

The silence on Pasoti from these people, has become deafening.

The relationship between the reluctant bidder and the likes of the Windsor Boys and their fawning chums is one of mutual benefit.

He gets the profits from greedy and inappropriate developments and they get to feel important at a going nowhere fast, city football club.

It's all so painfully obvious.

I was taking the piss out of a story that Webb told when he wanted to use his father to sell more tickets.

I can't stand Chris Webb. He's a lying, scheming tosser who has stood in front of me and was happy to lay the blame for Greenman at the feet of an 18 yr old club employee when he knew full well that it wasn't that person, and in fact it was his mate Postey, and according to Postey others who he won't name that in my opinion was Webb himself.

He's been involved in several of this multi-user accounts which were set up to cause trouble for the Trust, which he used to be leader of, and people who him and his friends have decided are a danger to James Brent.

He was sent a letter as Trust leader which ended up on Ian Newell's Flickr account, he had Peggy Prior removed from writing a voluntary piece in the club programme, and he refuses to supply his I.P. address because he knows it compromises him and would have proved that he was involved in accounts used on ATD, like Greenman, which were making threats to me and my family.

I made a joke about something Chris Webb said himself when he used his father to try and sell more tickets that's all. Nowhere have I taken the piss out of the fact his father died, my own father died years ago, I'm taking the piss out of Chris Webb.

If it offends you then I'm sorry, but I'll warn you not to watch Ricky Gervais or Frankie Boyle's stand up, it will offend you much more.

I know it cracks me up Tring! The other thing that stood out was the reluctant builder saying he couldn't wait to own the club and start paying people properly! Before he realised he could let the bucket rattlers take over. I think one other thing that stood out is that baby James was eager for Risdale to work closely with the club maybe as CEO but Risdale walked away, too dodgy for the snake oil salesman.
