Highly rated but released by a mid-table division 4 side?

If he wasn't injury prone he would be a great signing, just the type of player we need, but then he wouldn't be hawking himself around to teams who finished below Oxford last season.

I hope he's not our marquee signing for the coming season.

A reject for one team could be a gem for another.

Just saying. And hes not exactly injury prone he had a knee injury that ruled him out for the season. Made enough appearances to show he was a regular.

A realistic target.

Perhaps Oxford are trimming their wage bill. Cradock a good young striker scored 16 in all competitions. Released as well. Snapped up by pompey.

As realistic as placing 5 rows of seating in between the front row of the horseshoe and the advertising boards ? Laughing

I was just going by this on Wikipedia where it describes his time at Oxford as "injury plagued"

I see he played for Chesterfield so Sheridan would know him well.

yep he made loads of appearances for lots of teams, including chesterfield, before he had a serious knee injury that required surgery in February.since then he hasn't kicked a ball, and has been released by oxford.probable that oxford know something. despite being one of the best midfielders in this division they released him.is sheridan a gambler.

@Punchdrunk. Yep Have you been to home park?. THen you can see what I mean. Very easy to put 2 rows there. Easier and more cost effective than taking the roof off.

Very mixed opinions on the Oxford website;

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Looks like a gamble at best.We went down this road with Lowry and some of the other awful pre season signings last year,i hope the lesson has been learnt that it's time to gamble only on certainties.

I think our luck must change with players at some point. We are getting a bit of a rep when it comes to signing duds. But that's football for you.

So how can you add 2 or more rows to the front of the Lyndhurst when the front row it is already at ground level..., youd have to dig the pitch down another 2-3 feet to achieve that!
are you feckin numb

******* Idiot

@ punchdrunk, why dig down?. So 2-3 rows at ground level, hence restricted viewing. So that isnt possible? . Theres roughly 12ft from the front row of the Lyndhurst to the barrier go and have a look. Whose the fkin idiot know.

There's no way you could fit two rows in front of the Lyndhurst. How could people get in and out of the ground safely? The only way they could do that would be to have the pitch narrowed - there's space between the touchline and the advertising hoarding/barrier. It's a shit view from row A to E anyway and it's a stupid idea. It's not an alternative.

On topic - do we really need to replace an injured player with another injured player? It's not a very good idea.

I didnt say it was an alternative, i said it was possible to put a few rows of seats there which it is, doesnt make it stupid when its viable, its just a cheap option that would give restricted viewing. The trouble is people just rant rather than look at it properly and say "yes it can be done, but its crap, i wouldnt sit there".

An alternative veiw doesnt make it stupid.

Thats like saying the working groups alternative to brent's plans are stupid, Brent seems to think so, but they are not, they are a viable alternative to his plan, they just didnt do the costings correctly, but seeing all the hard work they went through to produce that plan in the first place, i sure their maths isnt as far out as brent would like us to think.
