Keep hearing a lot of good reports about our youth striker, who recently made the bench against Aldershot in the paint pot trophy. I fear that he might be poached by a club further up the food chain given the new ruling on youth players under the Elite Players Performance Plan for relatively little compensation. I would guess he would be classed as a promising youngster, but would regular first team involvement change his status and thus stop him leaving for peanuts? Where's Merse when you need him?

Being a scholar he's protected from being taken under the EPPP, they can only sign players who haven't yet signed on scholar terms under the new rules. If he was bid for, sides would have to offer a fair price.

He has already signed a Pro deal with us already (effective as of July 1st 2013) so we can demand a good fee should he be able to produce as a pro. Hopefully the club wont be so keen to flog him for a while yet.

He has talent and if we can protect him and trained in the right way we will have some player on our hands.
