I think it's got more to do with the chants at Rotherham (the Jimmy Savile stuff), as I can't really see the club putting together a whole new 'child protection' policy simply because of one or two Savile gags on ATD.

According to Hooper the chants were only because the Rotherham player had very blonde hair. Nothing malicious was chanted, or if it was, once again Tony never heard it. Just like he never logged into Pasoti when the g*po threads were going on for days, and he didn't visit the Pasoti Jokes section last week, as he was too busy having his flabber ghasted after mistakenly looking at the joke thread on here.

Tony is glad that the club has issued the statement though. He can now breath easier and enjoy a night in with his wife watching an audience with Freddy Starr. It can't be too racy or risque as most of the audience are young girls

What he fails to get (or chooses to ignore) is that if Savile hadn't finally been uncovered for the bastard serial abuser that he was, the 'wits' in the crowd would have chanted something else at the blond geyser. Something like 'blondie'.

I think we might be dealing with a case of selective intelligence here.

Although intelligence might be pushing it a bit.

There are enough -isms and -ias in that statement for the club to have a look a bit closer to home perhaps at the FanFest and maybe at TheParisCowanHall's Twitter feed.

Anyway it's an rubbish statement as it mixes too many things up with a necessary and important policy of child safeguarding which any business or organisation should have in place anyway. Not least as the club operates activities in the family area and has young kids in for training and run courses in the community.

No, I really don't think it's aimed at ATD. More likely the antics of a small number of supporters who aimed sexist and, crude and aggressive shouts across the family enclosure at a recent away match are the targets in general.
