Are people really that dazzled by being a mod that it makes them power crazy? It's a site that has 350 members and at best has under 100 people viewing it at a time.

I wouldn't be a mod for all the cider in Somerset but I can appreciate they do a good job, and a thankless one mostly, and yet they're always being accused of being too soft or too strict.

I'm in nobody's gang or clique, I speak for myself and how I see things. I love the diversity of this site and it's characters, like GS said it's what attracted him, yet it seems diversity doesn't stretch to disagreeing with the most forceful posters on here.

Can't fuckin wait for the season to start so we can go back to slagging off the team, manager and owner again.

I wasn't aware I was in anybodies gang either. I have no interest in any spat between current Mods or former Mods or Mods who have resigned. I say resigned because to my knowledge that is what happened rather than being thrown out of the Modroom.

I'm also not interested in any previous war between sites either as I've said a few times now. I have also said I won't comment on those posts in future and I won't. I am interested in putting my point of view over on Argyle as I had thought this site was titled Argyle Talk Democratic and was about Argyle. What I don't get is why you would post on anything to do with the Club anymore Tring if you really don't give a stuff now. If you don't care about Argyle as you say then simply don't venture an opinion. I am entitled to an opinion and on a free website I see no reason not to express it. I stick to my guns mostly as do others with opposing opinions. Are they as boring for that as I am for my opinion as it is exactly the same thing.

As for the bullying thing, I have never cried foul to anyone. My reason for asking for my account to be deleted has already been said. However you dress it up it is however bullying to a degree to just put an opinion down with the same one liner all the time. It is what is done on pasoti whether you like it or not. Others do jump on the bandwagon a bit like a pack and again that is what is done on pasoti many times and what is objected to on here. If you don't agree with somebody then you reply why you don't. That's debate not implying somebody is a wanker as if somehow that makes you right. I say you Tring but don't actually mean you alone. You started the personal comments to me, and I do mean you Tring for this one, not the other way around. I don't care what you call me but I do object when some other person is brought into it which was not you. If you don't like my comments about topics then ignore them. It's quite easy. If anyone else doesn't like them they are free to do the same if they can't be bothered to argue something. If you do reply though then you should expect a response to that. As for the Consortium thing I already explained that previously elsewhere and was not aware I had "pissed Greenskin off". I had only ever heard rumour of this Consortium previously and had never seen anything to confirm they actually existed. Once this was pointed out to me I accepted it. Thats the power of debate and what it's for I thought.

So, here's a question for you Sensible. How would you 'run' a website forum that tries it's utmost to allow all fans to have their say legally. How would you differ from ATD or Pasoti ? ... if at all...... or is it just your dislike of the odd poster or two ? there are the odd poster or two on here that I'm not fond of, but I sure as heck don't tell them.... what's the point of that.
. In other words, how does any forum that hopes to be free at the point of conception ( just made that one up ) behave when it is perceived by some that tribes are forming that might spoil the discourse ? ..... Argyle wise ... let's not go down the macro state of humanity or we'll get nowhere..

Not really thought about that one Penz as I would never have the expertees to set one up for a start. My keyboard skills are that I can type reasonably well but the technical side of it is beyond me. It isn't for someone to run a board exactly I think. It is for users to be responsible. I may not agree with other peoples opinions but I did try to argue my side. This was obviously not appreciated by some or all for all I know. It's just that some decided it was ok to respond with a childish dismissal rather than maybe ignoring it. There is also a difference between banter (the posts above this one) and personal attack and I definately do not agree with bringing other family members into remarks. If you know somebody on a personal level that might be different but somebody you don't know and have no knowledge of their circumstances then it is wrong.

You cannot tell me that you can't see some similarity to the things done on pasoti. It may be to a lesser degree but it is here. There are, lets call them like minded people rather than gangs, on here who do tend to mob an opinion they don't agree with. There isn't a problem in my mind with expressing the same opinion as others but acting like a pack isn't really debate. It's actually a sad state of affairs that websites have to be moderated in my book but sadly not all users act responsibly and probably never will.

I agree with the sentiment regarding rules Charlie but it seems that abusive anarchy takes over without rules and the site loses credibility and users. For some of us it's not a problem, we can give as good as we take and just laugh it off, for others it isn't as easy as that. I don't just mean for the users but also in the mod areas, without rules anarchy prevails.

We have rules.
What you want is rules for rules.
In which case you'll disappear up your own backside.
We have annual elections and we have keyholders to protect the site's core value of free speech...........
Posters may well get some stick at either end of opinion but they won't get banned or have their posts altered or deleted.
It is those who like to bore everyone[self included] but then run squealing 'bully' when they get it back, who should grow a pair.

And then we have those who will run around firing accusations at all and sundry because they're pissed off they are not in control.
