Point 1 - We have announced one new signing from a conference south club who starts July 1st after his current contract runs out. This was a while back now and we haven't heard a sniff about anyone else who is new is gonna sign. Our competitive budget may not be quite what most people assume (large crowds for a L2 club = decent player budget).

Point 2 - I can only remember us playing real passing football under one manager and that failed to achieve success - the Peter Shilton era.

Just be happy with a top half finish and a better quality of football than we witnessed last year. I am not saying we can't do better come August, but don't expect a miracle overnight. I do hope I am wrong though!!!

I think you're right unfortunately. I'm one of these eternal optimists who always thinks we're going to do well, and am frequently disappointed. At least I know how the missus feels I suppose.

We should be able to piss this league unless I'm missing something glaringly obvious, but it seems that Fleetwood have overtaken us while James Brent develops Devon single handedly. Reluctantly of course.
