Winning Mentality Empty

ARGYLE enjoy a healthy position as we enter today’s important game at sixth-placed Colchester United in Sky Bet League Two.

The Greens are currently third and have two games in hand on both the U’s and leaders Swindon Town, as well as a single game in hand on the other teams around us in a tight promotion race.

While it is all looking bright for the Pilgrims after six games unbeaten in the league, manager Ryan Lowe is definitely not getting carried away and believes the promotion picture will be a lot clearer once a busy February has been completed.

“I’m always happy when we’re winning games and we’ve got two games in hand on the top team, and one game in hand on the teams around us,” he said.

“You have to win those games, so you can’t get too carried away because they’re not going to be easy.

“There are six games in February and that takes us right down [in terms of games played]. Once you get down to ten games, you see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel.”

Argyle extended their current sequence of good results with a battling 1-0 win over Newport last weekend and that kind of determination will be needed again at Colchester today.

“It was tough and well-earned [against Newport], so fair play to the boys,” said Ryan. “Newport are always tough, we know that, but the resilience and the character of the boys to get the win was not easy.

“It’s gone, we’ve moved on and another three points in the right direction. We move on to the next one.”

Lowe needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut.

The majority of the players dont have winning mentality. One player goes missing from the starting 11 and they go to shit.....
