Rangers set to sell midfielder

Jason Holt has today been linked with a surprise move out of Ibrox to English One side Plymouth Argyle, with the 25-year old midfielder effectively regarded as surplus to Steven Gerrard.

The first training session under the new manager begins in around 72 hours at Auchenhowie, but Holt might not be there if reports of the Pilgrims’ interest in the ex-Hearts man are accurate.

Derek Adams' side finished in a reasonable seventh last season, and may well see Holt as the kind of gritty midfielder he needs to push for a serious crack at promotion.

For his part, Holt has always held himself well at Ibrox, spoke well and wore the shirt not only with dignity but as captain. He may not be of the level required for Rangers to move forward but his heart is not in question.

The Home Park team would not have to shell too much out to secure Holt, with a modest six-figure sum likely to be enough to release him to England.

If he moves on, he does so with our best wishes.

Agreed. He isn't good enough for where we need to be but we can't fault his effort. He gave a lot more than some of the so called better players at the club and if he does go then i wish the best for Holty. He deserves it.

This would be a sensible move for Holt who has always given 100% when called upon. Although he is still young I suspect that the majority of our supporters would acknowledge that while better than others currently at the Club, he is not at a level that will be required to take us back to our rightful position at the top of Scottish Football. Good luck to him and I hope that he does well at Plymouth Argyle.

The things is, when it comes to snapping up maybe a decent player like Holt, and there is competition , you realise as a fan, what a fecking liability Brent and his subserviants are.
Akkeron Argo really are hoovering up the scraps when it comes to attracting players that will bring footballing success.

I just cant see this happening if we have to pay a fee but it would be a great statement of intent if Adams gets him

According to Sky Matty Kennedy is being released by Cardiff. He was great on loan here but he ended up struggling at Pompy. Wouldnt mind seeing him back at Argyle

Yes it does. Remind me of the Premier League top 6, I can't be bothered to look.

There seems to be an Internet fact circulating from the likes of Tiresome Twatty Tone and his Pasoti chums that Adams has never paid a fee in his career as though that's the way he likes to do business.
Could it be that with Ross Counties average attendance of 4000 punters he has never been able to afford one? Now at the Brentihad the money he should be using for transfers is going on new roofs to give us an income stream comparable with Exeter Chiefs, LMFAO at that. At the Brenthad he has the revenue from an extra 7000 punters which means he should have roughly 3 times the budget he at at County. Where is the money going?
