midfielder Ruben Lameiras could make switch to League One rivals

Out of favour midfielder Ruben Lameiras could be heading out of Plymouth Argyle.

The 22-year-old has been pictured playing for Oldham Athletic in a behind-closed-doors game against a Derby County XI on Wednesday.

Former England international striker Darren Bent scored two of the goals for Derby in a 5-3 win.

Lameiras was signed by Argyle in the summer after spending two years at Coventry City.

Tbh he played well pre season
I think he was brought in at the time as a cheap replacement for carey..cos it looked like carey wasnt gunna sign again but he did and now seems surplus to requirements
Shame really cos he cant be any worse then then any of the first starting 11 thats foresure

Meh. Played in a relegated Coventry team last year and hasn't shown any sign of being able to command any sort of place in the pecking order down here. Get rid and free up his £100 pw wages for another poundsaver signing in January.

Thats the trouble greenskin he will be just replaced with with someone who equally shit if not worse ..on our gates alone we should be competing for players in the 100 to 150k bracket easily in fact all day long if money if the money was going back in the club

Property developing is an expensive business.

He hasnt had much of a chance to show what he could do so i dont blame him for wanting to leave. Del Bhey has his faves and if your not in that clique your never going to be.

I would like to think del bhey will sign a better quality player but we all know he wont due to budget.

Stick or twist for Jezza and Si in January, save the season by providing much needed quality or they do what we probably all think they will and the football club will be finally abandoned by all but the ever faithful 4000 fans as we sink to obscurity. And let's not kid ourselves if we end up at the wrong end of league 2 again we won't have the all in it together vibe we had during admin. This whole Brent saga has been like a slow motion car crash and were snaking crazily down the road now, just clipped the kerb and the big tree is in sight.
