The Brent/Hallet Groupies reckon the Jobcentre is the place to sign top talent, i'm suprised Man city/unt, Chelsea etc dont try it.
As you've said boringly  Sleep  Sleep for years but the facts are Argyle have improved year-on-year on a budget of 2 pasties and a cream tea. Before you reply with the normal ''DA is the best thing since sliced bread and has worked wonders with 2 pasties and a cream tea'' then explain why, if DA was facing a miniscule budget, that DA signed an extended contract? BRENT IN! Laughing

Err security of 5 years salary. Do you think it’s really all about Jimmys vision?

Bit strange to make a statement that the club has made year on year progress on a budget of "2 pasties and a cream tea" but then ask for an explanation of why DA was facing a "miniscule budget" when one would seem to be an acknowledgement of the other but no matter. Here's a question for you Tone-how long do you think this progress can be maintained without competitive funding? Because that mantra that you keep repeating has been used before, right up to the point whereby the club hit a wall and started to regress. And then kept regressing.

Wait and see Peterborough will be flying high above us this season and their £250 k investment will reap massive dividends in a year or two adding millions to the millions they have already made by buying talented players.

To be fair Fleetwood are massive and there's no way little Akkeron Argo can compete.

Jason Holt has skipped Rangers’ pre-season trip to Spain to hold talks with former Ibrox team-mate Joey Barton over a move to Fleetwood.

New Light Blues boss Steven Gerrard is keen for Holt to remain a part of his squad but the 25-year-old is mulling over a switch.

Holt could still fly out to Andalusia as early as Monday if he decides against joining the Cod Army to extend his three-year stay at Rangers.

Newly-appointed Fleetwood boss Barton and assistant Clint Hill both played with Holt during their time at Ibrox.

No decent player is going to the Brentihad to play for shit money, still though there's plenty of Paul Patons waiting in the Jobcentre for the call from Jimmy.

Peterborough pay on average £150 to £250k for good young players then sell them for millions, I'd be pretty sure they make a profit on it.

It's funny how we used to compete with these clubs. Wonder what's changed?

Seven years of Akkeron Man have turned argo into a third division minnow, we cant compete with Fleetwood despite having seven thousand more fans than them paying top whack, and we cant compete with Peterboro, despite having twice as many fans as them, the arselickers dont like to here it but Brent, and the gang are fookin useless!!! Argyle fans deserve better.

As TT has pointed out Fleetwood are only ambitious because their ambitious owner invests in the playing side to enable them to challenge in League One. If it wasn't for their ambitious owner Fleetwood wouldn't be an ambitious club. Geddon Tone. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

When they get charged by the Football League you can come back on and tell us how clever you are, until then do us a favour.

Excactly if Fleetwood peterboro are breaking rules how come they have never been charged? or is it they've got good owners who want to see their clubs progress, and the fifth best supported have Brent/Mortgage Man, who sign freebies from Rochdale, Shrewsbury and Southend.

Well we don’t have either a wealthy owner, or an owner who is wealthy and won’t donate funding to the club to satisfy FFP, which I think is what Tony is referring too.
Most likely in our case Brent is not significantly wealthy enough to donate significant amounts of cash to enable us to pay significant transfer fees.
So is there anything positive we can do about it ? Rather than the usual “Brent out”, stickers and the regular same old comments that appear on here, which doesn’t appear to be working.
Do any ATD posters have some rich friends who would like to invest in our club ? What about Dawson, he’s got plenty of dosh, anybody on here best buddies with him ?
What about we all have a whip round and see what we can raise.
