Rip Pepsi Pete

It is with deep sorrow that I bring the news that our respected and ever present founder member PepsiPete has died.
Peacefully this morning, his daughter is hoping to arrange a wake at Argyle, I will keep you posted.

Very sad news. A great bloke and someone who put in a huge amount of work as a mod and key holder. My thoughts are with his family. RIP mate

So very sorry to hear this news.

I only knew Pete from ATD.
I found him funny, sensitive and so supportive of this site and the new mods like me when I started.

Lots of lovely memories of him here. I will always remember him posting one day, calmly telling us he was waiting for an ambulance to take him to hospital after he had been taken ill !

He was always such a Gent.

I will miss him so much and my thoughts and best wishes go to his Family and Friends.

So sorry to hear the sad news......I only knew him through the word game.....He was six months older than me and did his national service just before me....both serving in the RAF.

Can I send my condolences to his family and friends......RIP pepsipete.

Maybe we need to keep the word game going in memory of him ?

I think he'd like that, but its up to you guys to discuss. Seadog is in contact with his daughter so I am sure all of your messages of condolence will be passed on.

Very sad news. Pete was indeed a true gent who tried his best to keep us all in order and it was lovely to meet him at the ATD Q&A with Brent. It'll be strange to mark our shared birthday without him.

Sincere condolences to his family - and thank you so much for keeping us informed. I know everybody says this, but if there's anything I/we can help with, do please ask.

Always 'steady as she goes'. RIP Pilgrim Pete.

Very sad to hear of PepsiPete's passing. My condolences to his family and friends for their loss.

I worked for a little while with Pete when we were the moderators on the old Argyle Talk and he was so easy to work with as you didn't have to worry about anything when he was on watch and he had all sorts to contend with from the usual suspects.

He was also the claming and good influence in that mod room he worked hard along with me to stop the keyholder head admin bloke of AT from closing the site down with what seemed like every week, turn it into a spurs fan site or eventually do what he ended up doing without ever saying a bad word towards him.

his presence on this form wont be forgotten and im sure the word game will grow in strength in tribute to him for yeas to come.
