Desperate Reid to Exeter? (Confirmed)

His feet are fecked anyway. Unless he's sorted his bunions out. And perhaps got a new pair of special football boots made. And will the club doctor give him the pain killing injection? Excitement mounts!

exeter got a proven goalscorer on their hands.

So what do we think has happened here then?

Promised the earth by his agent so didn't re-sign with us?
Asking for too much cash which put off potential other suitors?
Woefully unfit so clubs wouldn't take him on?
Underlying medical issues that have scared off other clubs?

It looks like he could end up playing for them for what will undoubtedly be a lot less than we offered. Something has obviously gone badly wrong.

Suggestion by edmonds200 on pasoti (who gives the impression he knows Reid) that Exeter have offered more than we did.

We only offered him £950 a week allegedly.

Roobs obviously told Jimmy to stick his one year contract on dogshit money, now he's joining the much more ambitious Exeter.

I know we all talk about Brents tight-fistedness, but I can't seriously believe Exeter have offered him more. If he goes there, then there will be more clauses than you can shake a stick at. He'll be on a very basic wage with decent bonuses for minutes played/assists/goals.

It's a pretty desperate move all round. He's been available since June and nobody has signed him. All of a sudden, Exeter/Tisdale are under serious pressure and he ends up there a month into the season.

It's desperate. But that said, if he passes a medical and gets fit, there's no better forward in this league.

But if you were on 2k a week(allegedly) and were then offered £950 a week(allegedly) you would probably turn it down, even if no other deals were on the table, just on a point of principle. However, I can see it from Argyle's pov too if there were serious concerns over his fitness.

Word is, Reid's signing will be announced this evening. Passed a medical today apparently.

Without doubt a good signing for Exeter, far better than any striker Adams can call on.

i just hopee allowing him to walk doesnt come back to haunt us. Paul-Arnold aside im not impressed at all with Del Bheys striker signings so far.

Not really that bothered. When fit undoubtedly one of the best in the division but his appearance record was erratic to say the least in the past two years with bad consequences for Argyle. If he hasn't been full time training or playing then there is no way he will start on Saturday unless they really are desperate. Reuben had better put in the big ones for City because their fans won't hesitate to throw some invective at an ex Argyle player who they perceive to be giving less than 100%,could be interesting. Good luck to him though, nothing against the bloke and he was an undoubted asset to Argyle at his best.
