Where would a normal plane land in Ivybridge anyway........we'll all have to move to the Lake Distict.

We've got a canal in Tiverton, so a seaplane would be very handy for me.

Hope it hasn't got any locks ....affraid

It didn't nosedive in but belly flopped - same as that Air France plane that was 'lost' between Sth America and Paris few years back.

There's talk of a minutes silence at games for those killed. In my view that's a defo no!!!! We didn't for the Paddington rail crash some years back or those killed on the M5 due to the bonfire. Minute's silence is being mis-used and its undermining its real place. How many have to be killed to trigger a minutes silence?
The 'last post' is also going down the same route. The 'Last post' is military ceremonial.

Is it because three young footballers died?

Horrific crash and could have happened to anyone. Waiting at traffic lights then dead (at least it would have been instant).

From the various news reports and expert analysis it looks like it could be due to pilot error. The plane was apparently maintained to a very high standard (according to someone who flew it recently). The pilot, Andy Hill, was highly thought of though so surprising if he made an error, although the Red Arrows did not want to do their full display (because of conditions) so perhaps the conditions led to an error?

You are affected by weather at all airports.  Speed may be slower, but if flying to say Sydney an extra hour would not make a lot of difference.

I'm assuming you're totally joking but there's a nagging doubt in my noggin that you're being serious Rolling Eyes

What happened is nothing to joke about.
