Hartlepool's new owner has reduced matchday ticket prices for next season just a few hours after the club takeover was announced.

Recruitment company JPNG, which specialises in the recruitment and IT industries and has offices in London and Dubai, completed a takeover on Friday before the club announced the deal on Monday.

Pools have cut seating prices to £20 for adults and £10 for concessions, while standing admission has been decreased to £18 for adults and £9 for concessions.

They had a deal a few years ago whereby if they sold 6,000 ST's the price for some adult ones would drop as low as £100, they sold the 6,000 yet their average attendance was nearer 5k, while at the same time they were the most expensive in the division for away supporters

That's an interesting one. So are Hartlepool one of the few honest clubs who record their attendance as clicks through the turnstile, rather than tickets sold? In theory our attendance for League games will never be lower than the 5,000 or so ST holders, but we all know that it's not true. I always wonder what would happen if there was a fire during a game, and the fire brigade had to waste time looking for ST holders who hadn't made it out of the pub.
