BREAKING: Leeds United sack Brian McDermott

Brian McDermott has been sacked as Leeds United manager just hours after Massimo Cellino bought a 75 per cent stake in the club for £20million.

Cellino, who is also the owner of Serie A side Cagliari, also dismissed acting chief executive Paul Hunt.

It also comes about an hour or so after captain Ross McCormack, who was wanted by Cardiff City, said he wanted to continue playing under McDermott at Elland Road.
