Was very fortunate to be around the time that Ernie Machin passed through our club.
A very sad day for a very talented player.
Always in my all time Argyle X1.
RIP Ernie your legacy will live on.

Sad news, a quality player who we were lucky to have gracing the pitch at HP.

All this type of news makes me start to feel a bit old.

I don't think I ever saw him have an off day..
One of my favourite all time Argyle midfielders, not the passing ability of McCall, but very effective. That news makes me feel very sad today.

Certainly does,Charlie.I remember our run to the semi finals of the league cup and Ernie's part in-it-if he'd stayed,he would have improved our 1974/75 team even further. We can only dream of signing players of his class now.

RIP Ernie.

One of my favourite all-time Argyle players.

If we had someone half as good as him today......
