Eric Sykes

Slightly disappointed not to see any acknowledgement of the passing of Eric Sykes on ATD when I logged on this evening.

He's passed away at the age of 89. Creator (with the equally fabulous Tommy Cooper) of one of the funniest comedy films ever made - 'The Plank', and all-round comedy genius.

It may sound like a cliche, but I doubt we'll ever see his like again.

Sad news,remember him well in his shows with Hattie Jacques.Didn't realise he was 89,not a bad innings to be fair.RIP Eric.

Thought the coverage of his death was very low key, given his contribution to comedy. He's also still been working until quite recently, so it's not as if he's a forgotten name from the past. Barely seemed to get a mention on the BBC website.
