He's got a point

Hopefully the likes of Young, Vassell et al can prove him wrong however

He hasn't got a point. We've produced a decent number of young players who've gone on to have good careers in football. Just because they aren't all playing in the Premier League doesn't make it any less worthwhile - Scott Laird at Stevenage is a very good example - and those youngsters who have gone for decent money (Gosling for example) have benefitted the club financially anyway.

This reads to me less of a critique of Argyle's youth policy, and more of a 500-word plea to the club to give him a job in the Youth department.

We keep selling them before they ever get the chance to play regular for us, don't we?. Stephens to Southampton, Aaron Spear? to Newcastle, the lad to West Brom recently? are just a few that quickly spring to mind. How they perform once they leave us is irrelevant.

I read it as he is saying that even the young players mentioned haven't been at Argyle since they were 8 year olds, and quoted that Dan Gosling came from South Devon! Hardly a million miles away though eh?

Looks like he pipes up with nothing very much every now and again and gets paid for it. Good luck to him I suppose but the article is rubbish.

The fees received for those two, amongst others, helped keep the club afloat last year.
