New job etc not been on much.

I actually like Rooney, I think he's obv been unlucky with injuries and our squad players are L2 at best.
He's been royally shafted by the board in my opinion, no one could get results with the players left on the pitch right now.

He did sign Palsson though who has to be one of the worst players to pull on a green shirt at this level.

I'd stick with him for now. What say you?

There is more than just Rooney at fault. But desperate measures needed and for survival we need someone in who can drill and organise these mostly sub-standard players into a unit that is not so easy to beat. We haven't got the players to play the way Rooney seems to want and he's not capable of changing. Our only hope is for a Tony Pulis type manager to come in now to give him plenty of time to weed out the real duffers and identify new players for January. So it's out for me.

Yeah I think I agree, shame as Rooney really has bought into the club, fans and area.

I just don't think Rooney is cut out to be a Manager, Hallett obviously got star struck when Rooney was interviewed, anyone else with his record as a manager would have been sacked by now and more to the point wouldn't have been hired in the first place.

But the Club is being run on a shoestring anyway- I can't see the logic in signing players just because they are affordable when they clearly aren't good enough. I think a more experienced or confident Manager would have told Dewsnip & Hallett that the standard of signings just isn't good enough.

If Hallett can't/won't put more investment into the playing side then he needs to get someone else on board. Prioritising The Brickfields project while the team is facing relegation is a bit like painting your house while it's on fire!

As others have said, I think the Club needs a tried and tested Manager to replace Rooney and restore some stability while the Club as a whole gets used to being in the Championship.

Hallett has succeeded in partially taking the spotlight off Rooney by dangling the carrot of new investment in front of the fans so there might be decent money to spend in January.

But if Rooney is still here in January what "decent" Championship standard players will be willing to join a Club in the relegation zone and coached by a guy who is, quite frankly, a bit of a joke as a manager?
