May be ok in the short term, got a pretty good record over the years-knocking on a bit but see how it goes i suppose.

Interesting signing. Good pedigree, but given his age and that he's recently been in the Saudi leagues does suggest the possibility that he's just looking for a pay check.

That's 27 players in our squad, excluding the guys out on loan. Starting to feel like Rooney is being backed by the board more than Schumacher or Foster were.

Experienced enough his better days were over 10 years ago at Luton Brentford Burnley respectively he’s knocking on a bit at 33 but hopefully he can end our drought away from home …by the way did our recruitment policy change to be signing 33 year olds that’s the 2nd one with signed around that age

Good to see we're not just making do with what we have but instead using the free agent market. Bags of experience hopefully makes up for him not being quite the spring chicken.  But how old was Sir Barrington when he signed?

Short term contract until January.

Does that mean his contract ends 31.12.24  or some date in January?

Seeing as he's not been a total disaster for us, I wouldn't be surprised if the likes of Wrexham or Brum offer him a more lucrative deal as they seek to confirm their promotion. Which would leave us even shorter of strikers as the crocs are unlikely to be back before later in January.

As I've said before, with us being in the relegation zone with a lame duck manager, it's hard to see any decent players wanting to sign for us in January.

Edited to add: And of course we might lose one or more loan players in January. If Gray moves on and Obefemi gets recalled, we'll be back where we were with just Hardie as the main striker

We‘ll probably end up recalling Waine from Mansfield for our relegation run in

Yeah, Waine and Early have been sent out to L1 Clubs as spies to suss out the Division for next season!

Rooney and Dewsnip are a lot smarter than we thought (couldn't be any worse)
