| RIP Trevor Francis age 69
As we are still gathering information, There is some sad news about former Sheffield Wednesday player manager, Trevor Francis who has been been rumoured to have passed away today.
The Plymouth born European cup winning forward became the first £1m player was at SWFC from 1990 to 1994 being part of a rich vein of history for the club.

| Apparently had a heart attack whilst walking in Spain. At least he’s now reunited with his wife who he loved so much. Thoughts are with his family & friends. A great loss for the game too. | I always thought that he may have joined Argyle if the progressive policy instigated by Waiters had been in situ a few years earlier but it was not to be-we were deprived of the mouth watering prospect of Francis and Mariner in the same Argyle team. He had a very distinguished career nonetheless as a player and had his moments as a manager-it was rumoured a few times that he was in contention for the Argyle job but that didn't come to pass either.

| He didn't want the tag of the first £1 million player...he supposed to have asked for £10 be knocked off the price......RIP. |
