Time for America/ nato, to move into Ukraine and crush Putin, better now than a couple of years time in another European country.

I don't that's going to happen Suffs. Putin is a mad man. A cornered dangerous old animal with nothing to lose at his age. KABOOM is what'll happen!

You may not be wrong there what with Vlad the mad and his paranoia. His inner circle , especially that Lavrov, are just as bad as the leader.

Vlad the mad has still got the other side of Ukraine to have a crack at yet and that is where it will get interesting. An accidental incident in that area could easily bring NATO and Russia into direct conflict. I believe that Russia did vote on a first strike policy sometime ago should the country feel it is being threatened. The tyrant has now said that Western sanctions are equivalent to a declaration of war and that Russia will respond.

Western sanctions akin to declaration of war

Vladimir Putin has warned that Western sanctions on Russia are equivalent to a declaration of war, as he defended his invasion of Ukraine.

In comments on state television, Mr Putin said Russia wanted Ukraine to be "demilitarised", adding that the country should have a neutral status.

He repeated a now familiar line that Russia hoped to "de-Nazify" Ukraine.

Mr Putin said: "These are methods of fighting against Russia. These sanctions that you can see are equivalent of a war – but thankfully it has not come to an actual war but we understand what these threats are about."

The West has imposed harsh sanctions on Moscow since the invasion of Ukraine began on 24 February, aimed at hindering the Russian economy.

Wonder how long it will take the despot to say that the West supplying weapons to Ukrainian forces is an actual act of war ?

Was reading an article earlier that clearly states that the Russians will need hundreds of thousands of troops to occupy the whole of the Ukraine. That will be a stretch.

He is fuming with the UK and says Russia will not forget the help the UK has given Ukraine , along with the sanctions imposed. We are directly in his sights now.

Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova warned London: "Russia will not forget Britain's desire to co-operate with ultra-nationalist forces in Ukraine and the supply of British weapons to the Kyiv regime.

"The sanctions hysteria in which London plays one of the leading, if not the main, roles, leaves us no choice but to take proportionately tough retaliatory measures.

"London has made a final choice of open confrontation with Russia."

Wonder what retaliatory measures will be taken ?

Take on us and take on NATO can you imagine how much support he would get get from the inner circle and the Russian public for that? His feet really wouldn't touch the ground. Thing is you go round all the pubs giving it "come on then" it's not going to be too long before someone knocks you flat on your arse.

Listening to a so-called military expert on 5 Live last night in work. He reckons we, NATO/Europe, have wound down our armies so much, we're not ready to take on Putler at this point. He said we would need a couple of years of massive investment in Europe's armed forces to build up numbers, then we might be able to take on the Red Army.

He went on to say that Putler's land army consists of about 900,000, with around 700,00 being poorly trained conscripts/kids/grunts, who can barely wipe their own arse, that's why initial losses in this campaign are high. He said it's Putler's 200,000 he's holding back at the moment are the ones we need to worry about.

He also went on to say, when the carpet bombing of Kyiv starts, after a few weeks, Putler will send in his 200,00 tops dogs to finish of any resistance in the Ukraine capital and it's other major cities.

Quite an interesting and worrying listen - if indeed he is a military expert. I wish I could remember more of what he said. Maybe it's available to download on BBC sounds as a pigcast! I suppose I could have found all this out on Facebook, where, all of a sudden, everyone's gone from being a Epidemiologist, to a Victorian Cross bearing, handlebar moustache sporting fecking military expert! Laughing

Not listened to 5live for ages, switched over to LBC as it is much better. They have some good commentators and experts on there.

They had an Admiral on politics today with Sophie Rayworth he reckons NATO have 3.5m troops at their disposal but was very careful to say that they are very careful about doing anything to escalate the situation.
One of the Newspapers this morning was saying that Putin has bowel cancer and wants Ukraine to be his legacy.

A legacy of mass murder of civilians including women and children.  Let's hope it is cancer and that it's very late stage and terminal and the piece of shit dies in agony.

What a cnut we have running the home office. 150 Ukrainian refugees turn up at Calais bound for the UK, and the home office turns them away and told them to go back to Paris to get proper visas!

Should have come via dingy. House, food, car, pocket money - life of riley. I feckin hate this country sometimes, no most times - actually, all of the time.

Pritti Useless clearly can't differentiate between the (mostly male) piss taking economic migrants from Africa and southern Asia that float across the channel every day and women and children, many of whom have been forced to leave their men behind, torn from their homeland by a horrific and worsening conflict.

In a recent speech he cocked up and said “Iranian” instead of “Ukraine”, hope he gets it right if he’s got to press the button!

Makes me proper laugh at all the twats celebrating when they were "saved" from Trump by Biden. When you look at our politcal system and the Yanks then Communism starts to look pretty appealing.

What a cnut. Putler has started the aerial bombardment of Odesa, from his warships anchored in the black sea. Just tragic. I did a weeks break in Odesa about 4 years ago. What a beautiful architecturaly rich city it is, soon to be 'was'. Evil or Very Mad

I still can't believe this shit is happening in 2022.

Communism is the perfect system on paper trouble is that it tends to attract quite controlling sorts of leaders. Kerala in India has a Communist authority running it, highest rates of literacy, numeracy, healthcare and general wellbeing in all of India, maybe Communism needs a dose of Hinduism to make it work?
