| Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side. Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours. His amazing career spanned 6 decades that saw him sell over 100 Million albums worldwide and star in over 65 movies, including “Fight Club”, “Focus”, “Rocky Horror Picture Show” and “Wayne’s World.” “Bat Out of Hell” remains one of the top 10 selling albums of all time. We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man. We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls…don’t ever stop rocking! |

| Classic album if ever there was one, I still have it on vinyl, he famously sold the rights for it for about $5k iirc then ended up totally fookin skint until he did the awful second album. Never saw him live but he was an absolute force on stage, proper legend RIP. |

| Obviously Bat out of hell was good,, Then he fell out with Steinman and released "Midnight at the Lost and Found" Which was meant to have a couple Steinman songs on but the record company wouldn't pay for them.
Those songs being Total Eclipse of the Heart and Making Love Out of Nothing at All. The album turning out pretty badly
Those shows he did in bars while he had no money are a good listen, so is Bat out of hell with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

| It seems that Meat Loaf was an anti-vaccine believer.
Rock singer Meat Loaf said....."If I die, I die, but I'm not going to be controlled"...by Covid-19 restrictions,....months before reportedly succumbing to the virus.....Daily Telegraph...22/01/2022.
The problem is Covid-19 doesn't pick and choose between believers or non-believers....is just kills whoever.....so in the end his free will meant that Covid-19 controlled him.
Why would anyone choose to die that way....when the solution was so easy to have. |
