| Former TSW and Westcountry weatherman Ron Bendell dies aged 67. A great local character and a gentleman to boot, who one more than one occasion turned up pissed as a handcart on TSW or Westcountry news to read the weather.  I remember being sat there gobsmacked when on one occasion, instead of reading the weather, he sat down (before he fell down) on the couch and started calling everyone twats!  RIP. |

| He was a beaut. Got pissed with him in the Duke of York Iddeisliegh when he was reporting the foot and mouth disease, ended up sleeping in the van and don't even remember going to bed? He was a proper character. RIP. |
