For those of you watching in black and white[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]. Amazing the stuff to be found on youtube, never dreamed that Argyle were on TV in that era-think it was pre MOTD so not sure where it would have been broadcast. It was an important game for Argyle who were in strong contention for promotion to the first division.....

Looked it up in my big book of Argyle and boy did they blow it that season. This match started a run of one point from the last six games but Argyle still finished fifth, they must have been in very serious contention going into this game. This must have been one of the instances which fuelled the "Argyle don't want to go up" theories which have abounded over the years,'twas certainly a major blow out.
