How soon is too soon for Ennis,
30 mins might be too much for him right now,

All very well taking Broom off, but we've been pumping the ball right over him all game so hes not had chance to do anything apart from the cross for hardie.

Poor performance (apart from the first goal that was excellent). Outplayed by a mid-table league 2 side, who were better in the challenge and better at keeping possession than us. Only their inability to take chances, plus some pub-league defending for the second goal, got us through it.

Good to see Ennis back, but hard to see us staying anywhere near the play off spots on that performance.

PostSubject: Re: FA Cup 2nd Round   FA Cup 2nd Round - Page 3 EmptySun Dec 05, 2021 2:23 pm

Just about did enough. Gave the ball away a bit too easily in the second half, put us under unnecessary pressure, but sneaked it at the end. Having said that we hit the post twice, so it could have been more comfortable.

George Cooper didn't look fit at all, lost a yard of pace, great to see Ennis come on and look really sharp just for a few minutes. Match winning save from Cooper at the end.

Probably not the best performance, but in the third round draw so no complaints.

Well we made hard work of that thank god for Cooper and Jeppers. No doubt some other northern garbage in the next round onwards and upwards.
