| Ryan Lowe targets another signing before Shrewsbury Town game
One loan deal has been agreed with a higher level club and Lowe is now waiting for a decision from the player. We are in discussions with the player. I'm just waiting to hear back. He was keen on it, he knows everything about us, I know the kid very well.
"We have agreed everything with the club. The kid has got a couple of options and we are just hoping that he picks us for the right reasons, and that's football.
He is also working behind the scenes to add another striker to his squad on loan deal.

| Thought Lowe wasn't going for kids from higher divisions. Sounds like panic signings now. |

| Just signed a winger/wide player-waiting for another to decide and still looking for another forward.
All this asfter saying a few weeks ago that he was happy with the squad he had at that time?
Panic? Certainly doesn't seem to be a plan anywhere in sight |

| Tbf to Lowe since he said that Ennis has been sidelined for twelve weeks and Mayor is out. |

| So when he said he was happy with the squad, did he think no one would get injured?
Shouldn't a good Manager expect a few injuries, suspensions and these days some Covid related absences.
I thought he shouldn't have said what he did about being happy with the squad, but he does have a tendency to open his gob too much. |

| Well he was happy with the squad until the injuries I would have thought? Are you suggesting we sign another ten players? You never who will get hit and when. |

Rumours it is Callum Hulme, who currently plays for Leicester U21’s, on a season-long loan. Hulme was an apprentice at Bury which would explain the link.

| QUOTE from Lowe when at Bury
Callum can play anywhere across the middle of midfield, either in an attacking or defensive role, or in a more traditional number 8 position.
Speaking after Callum signed his new deal, Bury manager Ryan Lowe said: "Callum is someone I have rated from the day I first saw him play. I gave him the Captain's armband in the U23's when I was Development Coach 18 months ago and I also gave him his professional debut this season.
"I rate Callum highly and believe he has a big future, so I am pleased that we have tied him down to a professional contract!" |

| Guess they could have picked him up at Birmingham international or New street for the bus to Shrewsbury if its him.
But he's still not a proper striker. |

| We have had the Chairman saying several times that recruitment should be based on data analysis and a manager who seems to stick with players he has worked with before or are recommended to him by contacts/mates.
So which viewpoint takes priority? Or does a signing like Gilleshphey fit both categories? |

I thought he shouldn't have said what he did about being happy with the squad, but he does have a tendency to open his gob too much. i believe he has said all along we still wants to bring in one or two in before the injuries occurred but over all he was happy with the squad after 9 additions he had made already, He was always on the look out for another striker cause he would be foolish to go till January with 3 strikers as we have seen with Ennis injuries can occurred just like that. The YTS striker Shirley is the backup atm and he wouldnt be enough regardless to his ability. |

| Ryan Lowe has admitted it is proving difficult to make further additions to his Plymouth Argyle squad with nine days until the summer transfer window closes.
The Pilgrims' boss had hoped to complete the loan signing of a midfielder with League One pedigree before the away game against Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
However, that deal has failed to materialise and Lowe appears ready to move in a different direction.
Lowe said: "We wanted to get it done for the weekend and everything was agreed with the clubs but the player just wanted a bit more time to think and explore his options, that was the word, so we have left it at that. |

He'll get one as nearer the time clubs are going to want to move players on and will more responsive to a loan deal offer. |

| So is he after another midfielder AND another forward, or will the lad from Swansea be the back up striker? |

| Lowe has missed out on one target who he had lined up as a potential loan signing before the 3-0 win League One away to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
Plymouth Live understands that player was Lincoln City midfielder James Jones, who instead joined ambitious National League club Wrexham yesterday for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract. |

| Why can't we compete financially with National League Wrexham then Hallett? |

Probably not financial. I'm guessing the player walks straight into the first team at Wrexham and gets to sit mostly on the bench at Argyle. |
