Almost there, time to regroup for the promotion push next season. Would be great to finish this season with a win over the mighty Gills. COYG

Inevitably another humiliating day on the Kent coast, the Priestfield has never been a happy hunting ground even in better times-no chance for this bunch of slapdash spunktrumpets..

give lolos and tomlinson a start and the whole game. lets see if they are worth keeping hold off next season or not mainly in lolos case. gillingham have nothing to play for as much as us but will still want to end their season on a high as should we so lets hope the lazy shits in that team pull their weight one last time before leaving.

The Gills can't be looking forward to this one, utter humiliation at home in front of their own fans to a high flying Argyle team with everything to play for.

Argo end this miserable season in familiar fashion.
Gillingham 4-0 Argo
Just glad this one is over. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Looking forward to more of the same or worse next season under Lowe.

Argyle to lose by two or three goals. One will come when the Gills exploit Argyle's LWB being caught out of position, another will be when a defender gives the ball away on the edge of the Penalty area. Argyle will have lots of corners, none of which will lead to an attempt on goal, but they might notch up 8-10 shots but only two will be on target.
Afterwards Lowe will say he's proud of the boys and the effort they put in, but we were unlucky for all the goals we let in-but we did play the better football and he knows what to do different next season.
Afterwards, Earwegoagain ,Freathy and myself will slag off the Manager, others will say the manager just needs a bit more time, one more transfer window or that it doesn't matter as Brent has gone and Hallett is wonderful. Angry will demand a new defence and a defensive coach and Rickler will insult various posters, but won't comment on the game at all.
In other words, the only change will be that it's a Sunday game.

Seeing as you mentioned it Angry, today's WMN has Lowe saying he's looking forward "going home" to spend time with his family.
I wasn't going to mention it, but as you bought it up.............

I look forward to "going home" to Cornwall later in the summer.
Sometimes I wished I still "lived" there...

Pre-Match News
Ryan Lowe Previews Gillingham
Eight academy products aged 21 or under will be part of Plymouth Argyle’s squad for the season-ending League One away game against Gillingham
Ollie Tomlinson, is to step up for his first league start for the Pilgrims because of the injury to Will Aimson and Sam Woods and the suspended Jerome Opoku.
The Plymouth Argyle manager has talked about his experiences of life in League One
We know what we need to recruit to achieve something that other clubs are going to achieve in the play-off and promotion positions.
We have had some good wins, we have had some good performances.
But this season has been a massive learning curve and it’s one we will take note of, and we want to be better next season.
Lowe said one surprise in League One this season has been the tactics of some sides.
A lot of long balls, I thought we had come away from that.
League Two was a scrap most weeks but we still got the ball down and played.
This season has been no different. I thought it would have been a lot more football based, it hasn’t.
I can’t wait to get home and spend some time with the family.
I have been back and forth, and there for a day or two, and then I’m back here.
I’m looking forward to spending some time with my kids and my missus
I have got to spend some time with the family and then I will reflect on the rights and the wrongs, and how we get better.

Gillingham Manager Comments
Steve Evans - “We want to win first and foremost. It’s a decent opponent that beat us earlier in the season and we’re looking forward to the game.
“We don’t want to let the supporters down; we want to win. We want to finish this season positively because the lads have been nothing short of fantastic.”
Gills skipper Kyle Dempsey
We want a positive end to the season
We’ll approach the game as we’ve done all year. We’re focussing on having a positive end to the season especially after the last couple of weeks.
We’ve played some really good stuff but fell a bit short in some of the games and key moments which have cost us.
We’ll have the same focus and same mentality and go out and give it everything we’ve got to try and win the game, and finish on a positive note.

Well the kids can't do any worse than the 'first team'. Hope you enjoy your time at home Ryan. Please don't come back.

Last time any of the out of contract players will play in green and good riddance. Lowe clearly has to change tactics next season or we'll be back in L2 pretty smartly
Good to see Luke and Sawyer staying at the club in different roles though. Well deserved for both.

L1 is bit of a non-event all round today. Champions, auto promotion, three play-off places, and relegation already decided. Only Pompey, Oxford and Charlton left to battle it out for the last remaining play-off spot

Why not let McCormick start the game not as if this game means anything..
At least this is the last game we see that crap defender watts in an Argyle shirt hopefully not Fornah.

Is that 4-4-2? Bit harsh to pair Tomlinson with Watts for his first full game. Is Grant injured? Or made himself unavailable as he's agreed a new deal elsewhere?

Well it looks as if that partnership lasted 30 seconds as watts is down. Grant is injured.
