Lets be honest, Ladies (how archaic is that term?) football, has sweet FA to do with the proper game.

Can't understand why BBC lump it in with the proper game, and certainly shouldn't be talked about on here.

Stick it with the other niche sports like croquet and polo

Be warned-before you know it you'll have rampaging mobs tearing down statues of famous footballers because they're "sexist" and insisting that statues of famous (are there any?) "Lady" footballers go up in their place. Clubs Like Man Utd, Mansfield, Peterborough, MK Dons, & Scunthorpe will have to change their sexist names. Then you'll have symbolic bra burning before every game to show that the lads "care." All under the FBLM banner (FootBall Ladies Matter)

Anarchy awaits!

Here some more news

Argyle Ladies are delighted to announce the new manager for the first team for 2020/2021 season.

Following the departure of Dave Leonard as first-team manager, the club has appointed Ryan Perks as manager, with his coaching team due to be announced in the coming days.

A club spokesperson said: “Everybody at the club is extremely excited following the appointment of Ryan for the forthcoming season. The club last season were well placed before the pandemic struck, the previous management laid some good foundations and we are hopeful this can be continued.”

Ryan has been working for the Argyle Community Trust for the past two years and is also an Academy coach at Home Park. He graduated from Marjon University in 2019 with a degree in Football Development and Coaching, he is a UEFA B License coach and his current position at the Trust is Women and Girls Manager. We wish Ryan and his team every success for the new season.

Ryan commented: “I’m really excited to be given the opportunity and get started. I’m looking forward to developing the club further and providing opportunities for females to progress within the game.

"We know the leagues are very competitive, and it is our aspiration to ensure we remain competitive and provide opportunities for women within the South West to play at the highest level.”

Argyle Ladies Chair, Chris Smietanka, said: "Congratulations to Ryan on his new role and to Argyle Community Trust for his appointment. I have known Ryan since his time as a mature student at Plymouth Marjon University, and I am pleased to see his continual progression and development within the Trust."gg

To late for most of the old team, not consulted so a big beak up of the team.

Player of the Year Leah Burridge as gone to Yeovil Town, Welsh international Helen Bleazard goes as assistant manager at Ilminster Town and top goalscorer Tash Knapman, who has opted to join Buckland Athletic. With news today that another three girls are moving to Buckland Athletic as well.

Are we that skint we can't keep the ladies going? It wasn't like anybody has ever chucked cash at it? I'd like to know what their budget was.

If the truth was told. Argyle never backed the team with money and there is still a question on a £10,000 grant.

Absolute joke so All this whoohaa a while back the halletts jumping on the woman’s team bandwagon
When they wernt even contributing you can’t make this shit up
Football club owner has the responsibility for all the clubs teams not only from the first team all the way down to to woman side
I get it not everybody likes woman’s foot but in the PC World the club likes to portray there not looking good on this one ..I didn’t realise just how badly they have been treated in all this they had to pay for everything disgraceful give your head a wobble Mr Hallett

Agree Reg, the clubs decision is somewhat at odds, with what the Halletts were previously saying in terms of supporting womens football, disappointing decision whatever the opinion is about the womens game on this forum.

Apparently, the Development Team has a new coach, the two new brooms from SB Frankfort have been given the boot.
The team will now be chosen on ability alone.
No news on First team.

I would reply if it made any sense.

If you are calling T&Gs source, or T&G a liar then you are out of order.
