If Hallettt appoints a good manager and backs him, no reason why we can't bounce right back. However, a cheap managerial appointment (Lee Hodges?) and continued "sustainability" and we'll be playing Torquay every season.

He gets lucky too many times though hes been spot on about a number of things over the years. He wont tell anyone he lottery numbers though.

Very true, and very much like the similarly adored Stapleton who enriched himself as the club slid into oblivion. Brent had the foresight to get the Nooligans onside which means he won’t be similarly reviled.

To be honest it might not be as difficult as you fear. The league seems to be getting worse - I had to miss a lot of games due to illness but a few have said this to me and they weren't the sort who always moan about how crap L2 is. If they can avoId FFP Salford will probably take one place but the rest are up for grabs.
