Just looked at the highlights. Looks like both defences were very poor (do Southend CB's not understand the offside law?) As for conceding a goal from the other team's own half, you'd see better defending at Staddiscombe PF, the lad that scored isn't exactly Beckham or Rooney

i go to games aswell season ticket holder for many years so i do know how we play the vast majority of the time when some on here are claiming we where fantastic when we were average at best and the stats would be a fair reflection on how we actually did to how a fan wwith bias ees nd high on emotion rates us in this game having listen along aswell.

we won which is the main thing and thats the important fact but lets be honest we would still have been hammered againt a team with better attacking options.

Well yeah, there are quite a few on here that would bemoan a 7-0 win because it should have been 8. The point I'm making is I trust the judgement and knowledge of the mates I know and who went to the game.

Yeah, ditto. From what I've heard from a Southend mate, we were comfortably the better side over 90mins, and then made it difficult for ourselves with two late errors.
