injured his ankle again and looks set to be out for peroid pending on the results of his x ray/mri.

makes offering him a 2 year contract even more buisness savvy now doesnt it?

This is another reason why Adams being in charge of football affairs bothers me,
So many questions
but too tired to think of them all now

That what you get with sign players with glass ankles no wonder he and sarsavic signed there new deals they were offered a bit lively ..any other clubs stringent medicials would have sussed em out but not us

You're right Reg they were exceedingly quick both of them to take the 2 year deals on the table. All of us to a man were pleasantly surprised and pleased
Now we know why

It was an easy, almost lazy call to make. And to be fair he had no other option but to sign two of last season's best performers. knowing his below market value decision offer to Bradley and Threkeld would fall short. Taylor was particularly quick to sign. Don't blame him though, given Adams' example with his own increased 5 year deal. This is what happens when you're skating on thin ice, and mistrust and self interest abounds.. Still, no rush, Adams has got 5 guaranteed years to get it right, what's the problem ?

After what Taylor did when fit last season he was definately worth a punt for his season. Two year deal is debatable but if he recovered and stayed fit it would look like a cracking bit of business to hang onto one of our best players. Hindsight eh? Makes all look clever. What is worth criticising is signing a load of injury prone players who have never set the world alight before but suddenly they are expected to turn it on for Argyle. Can't see it myself.

My view of Taylor's injury problems aren't hindsight, as Skinny will testify. I was banging on about his previous injury record when he originally signed, and missed the first half of the season. When fit last season, he was THE difference in the team with his lay offs that suited Carey and Lameiras down to the ground, but that's no good if he only plays now and then. Maybe Del should deploy his own hindsight..... half of his signings   turn out to be a complete waste of time ever since he's been here, with the new defenders being the worst yet. Time for a rethink, time for some decent medical practice and advice. Spend a bit on it.
Maybe he should sign less cover that he never uses and offer more to the likes of Threkeld within a smaller squad. It's not rocket science.... he's got a squad of 30 plus ! with at least 10 that never get near any serious action. Almost approaching Sturrock's ultimately clueless ballooning disaster
I suspect one day newell will excuse himself under the "hindsight" bull.

Taylor still would have been good business and could still be. Just an opinion. The rest of what you said is basically what I said anyway.
