The web address is purchased, we are now at the point where we need to decide where in the ground to put our board - and what we want to put on it.

My favourite is a 6300mm x 730mm board in the inside of the Lyndy facing the crowd - £250 +VAT per season plus £190 + VAT to get the sign made up.

The other option is a board on the side of the Mayflower facing the Lyndy, but this would be significantly smaller and more expensive £1400 +VAT per season and 3600mm x 1200mm

Thoughts?

Also, Nick if you could mock something up, that would be good.

I think the cost dictates the position, I would be happy for the Lyndhurst.

Another issue is raising the dosh.

Would we really have enough takers to cover the £1400? I'm happy enough with the inward facing board tbh

Are there spaces available for the rest of the season, or are we talking about getting it put up in the summer?

Just cracked open the coppers and 5ps tin: I might be able to put a bit in towards the cost.

Well, there is nothing stopping us from doing a deal for the remainder of this season and all of next, but what happens if we are in the conference? £250 is based on L2 crowds of circa 6000. Conference crowds? Half that I would guess.

Thoughts?

This is NOT completely final - I need to make sure everything is spaced correctly (between the lines) and the text is properly justified etc etc but I'm at work at the mo'

I'm in for whatever. Personally like to see a specific total and (initially) cap contributions at £20, to allow a goodly number to chip in. We've already seen generous sorts would be willing to pick up any slack.

Let's go for the rest of the season and go from there. We can do a deal wherever we end up. No point in thinking of buy one get one free at the moment.

£25 from me.

Should we have a ATD display board fund sticky at the top of the page?

Or maybe Nick could create a Blue Peter type total-o-meter (can't remember its exact name?) on the banner.

Maybe IJN will do a stickied appeal on pasoti for funds to help Laughing ?

Ages since I've been to Home Park, trying to get the geography right. Just visited the web and found a good site with photos etc. (http://www.footballgroundguide.com/plymouth_argyle/)
Can't we put it in front of the Barn Park end (away support) so everyone can see it (apart from visitors who aren't interested anyway)? Just a thought, or is advertising forbidden there/too far away?? Or would it be too small to be effective? Question

Could we afford 2 1 at that end another somewhere else?? Just a thought.

Can't see anyone complaining about the idea of the sign, it is a democracy after all.
Also supporting the finances of the club.
Happy to chip in once you make the decision on placement/cost etc. Wink

Cant really be bothered reading through 5 pages of diatribe apart from does anyone think saying "fat bastard" at a football match is racist or homophobic and if so where do you want to draw the line?
